Is this fair??

So i have a bad dicipline history from 9th 10th n part of 11th grade. I was on the verge of dropping out n i was skipping school all of the time. I got withdrawn decided not to drop out n went to a secondary school, n i’m now back at my original school. I haven’t been in any clubs n didn’t go to school functions. I’m a senior now n decided that i wanted to run for homecomming. I know but don’t associate with many people in school I’m kind of a loner. To be able to run you have to get 50 signatures from your class, have a 2.0 GPA n get it signed by your AP(assistant principal). I only needed 14 signatures n my AP’s signature. My AP told me that i haven’t gotten a refferal sense last Febuary(which i don’t understand because i wasn’t in that school from October to May) but when i went to get it they told me i couldn’t because of my dicipline history. I was crushed and have tried so hard to do better in school and now im getting punished for the past. Is this fair?

No, it isn’t. If you ask me it’s typical political bullsh*t.

When I was in school, my friends and I were the “dirtbags” or whatever people call it. I happened to have a friend who was Native American and his hair was down to his but- and allllllllll the girls just thought he was gorgeous.

He was nominated for Homecoming King, won, and they still wouldn’t let him accept the crown because of his school standing (basic discipline problems, bad grades etc).

I thought that was discriminatory. Something like that may have changed this persons whole life.

Sorry about what happened. It’s tough when you try hard and still get sh*t on. Don’t give up- there is LIFE AFTER HIGH SCHOOL:)

Part of human life is living with our decisions and dealing with the consequences of our actions. The good news is, your young and your school record will stay behind as your new positive attitude moves forward into the world. Be sure to not let your old habits continue once you leave high school; that’s when the true record keeping is started.

Yes. It’s fair. You are learning a valuable lesson — that things you do have consequences!

While I commend you for working to improve yourself in school, you still did those things before.

Hopefully all of your “misadventures” were confined to school, otherwise you might find yourself missing out on other things if you got into legal trouble as well.

No, this is NOT the answer you wanted. Life’s not fair, but in this case, you were fairly treated.

Yes it’s fair …there are consequences to all you actions. I’m glad you’re trying to turn over a new leaf but your past is going to haunt you until you can prove otherwise.

No it’s not fair, but neither is life. Accept it as a learning step and don’t give up.

Though not always fair, life is good.
