you can’t sweet talk your way out of it.

Maybe approach the teacher of the class you want to drop within the first week and explain that you are having trouble with the class and want to drop. ONLY do this though if you really are having trouble.

If you just don’t want to do the homework, well, you should have thought about that before you signed up.

I feel your pain, my guidance counselor is terrible as well. But, seriously, with two AP’s you should be fine and only one other tough class, unless Spanish is hard for you. You should just take the classes, because you’ll be much better prepared for college. I have all AP classes right now, and I plan to do well in all of them. Actually, I’d rather take an AP class than a regular class. Anyway, if you challenge yourself, colleges will look more favorably upon you.

I think you should just go for it. Two APs isn’t that many (I had 3 APs and a dual credit [both high school and college credit from one class] in one year and came through OK), and it will look great on your transcript for college applications.

And if you really wanted to make the change, you should have paid attention to the deadlines. Think of it as living with the consequences of your decision. Yet another learning opportunity.

2 AP’s, you should be able to survive just fine. I’m taking three honors and 1 AP along with French 2. It should be a challenge, but not impossibe. Pray about it?!?!
