She’d told us we could use calculators for the test, but once we got to class she changed her mind. Mine was already in my pencil case, but I’d forgotten and was already starting the test as soon as she said to. I reached into my pencil case to get an eraser. She walks over to me and opens my pencil case, seeing the calculator and looking at me very accusingly. “We’ll talk after,” she said, and then went back to her desk. So I went to talk to her and told her I hadn’t used a calculator. She said that it was On, but that’s because mine in sollar powered and just never really turns “off”. She made me do some arithmetic questions that were on the test to prove I didn’t need a calculator, and I got them all right, but I’m sure she didn’t believe me because she said “Since I can’t prove you cheated, I’ll let this one go”. Ugh! Maybe it’s my fault, but I didn’t CHEAT, did I? She’s biased, and I don’t want to be on her bad side? How can I make her believe me or get on her good side again?
