Either a summer course or taking two courses simultaneously will work. It’s advisable to take geometry and Algebra II at the same time, and precalculus and trigonometry.

It all depends on her school schedule. If her school uses a block system, like 1st semester and 2nd semester classes, she can do the following:

9th grade: Algebra 1

10th Grade: Geometry (1st semester) and Algebra 2 (2nd semester)

11th grade: Precalculus or Trigonometry (1st semester) , Calculus (2nd semester.)

12th grade: AP Calculus (usually takes 2 semesters, so the whole year.)

Also, she can take geometry and algebra 1 together in 9th grade, or geometry and algebra 2 together in 10th grade. I think that this would be easiest since the 2 subject are really related.

If your school has like 7 classes that stay the same throughout the year, then maybe she can consider an online course, and finish up during the summer?

You can take one of those classes as a summer course, that why you can get a year ahead of yourself.
