Is it “I hung my shirt” or ” I hanged your shirt” with proper english?

I know poeple are going to think it is hung but i realy think i rememer in english class my teacher saying it was hanged

If you hung your shirt up to dry, its hung.

Hanged your shirt just doesn’t make sense.

I hung my shirt, I hung your shirt.

You can not say, I hanged my shirt, if you are using correct English. You can say your shirt was hanged if you wish, but not or that you hanged it (speaking to someone else who has performed that service for you) but you can’t say I hanged it.

Sorry – sometimes teachers are wrong, other times memories are faulty.
