It depends on the position that you want. Many states are more interested in the license, the RN opposed to the degree when you are going in as an entry level position/staff nurse. Whether you have a BS or AS you passed the same RN exam as anyone else. The differences start to arise when you want more managerial positions or administration positions, there you may see the differences. But as entry level the pay is always the same, based on experience and the RN, not educational degrees.

No. You will almost certainly make more with a 4-year degree, and more administration jobs (where the real money is) will be open to you, as well as specialized jobs in the operating room, etc. An associates degree will get you in the door, but a bachelor’s degree will take you much farther.

No. The 4 year degree would pay you more, because you would have had more training, and capabale of handling more responsibilities. The 2 year degree is an LPN, the 4 year a registered nurse (RN)
