Is a college diploma enough?

I am thinking of taking classes at CDI for addictions and community service worker. It takes 10.5 months to earn a diploma. They told me I can become a addictions worker or a group home worker and then later on, a child and youth worker. Is a 10.5 month diploma enough or will I need more than this?

I can’t find the accreditation of CDI (at least for California.) What CDI location are you going to attend? There are SO many on the webpages.

If the college is going to help you find jobs, then I guess it is enough for now. No matter what, a degree will be better. Can you start with the ‘diploma’ and then work toward getting an Associate Degree? (That is the lowest degree to get and still acknowledged.)

If CDI does not offer degrees, hopefully you can apply for a class at a regular community college or university in your area and receive transfer credit for classes taken at CDI. If the school is not accredited, you may not receive credit for taking their classes.
