We all get nervous making speeches, it’s one of the hardest things to do if you are not a natural entertainer.

I agree with the other guy, use notes. I find it best to have a list of key words that lead me through what I want to say. That way it doesn’t sound like I’m just reading it.

The best advice I can think of for now is to forget about what other people might think. You are who you are and you’re probably a wonderful person. No body can blame you for being nervous. After all, you did the best thing you could and that was to compose yourself and start again.

The best advice for the future is to prepare well for it.

Listen, honey, we’ve all been there. It’s like falling off a horse, u have to get back on and carr on. Same with speech making. This time, make it as easy for urself as u can. Use notes, there’s no shame in that. When ur speaking, don’t look at the audience, look just over their heads at the wall behind them or at a clock on the wall or something. Go to ur teachers & friends, admit u screwed up & say u’ll do better next time. Was it a competition u lost or something? All is not lost. Ask ur teachers for advice on overcoming nervousness. Hope this helps.

Lots of people get nervous in speeches

I had a speech impediment during school which I got rid of and I had the worst time doing my speeches.

You can’t always do your best and not doing as well in the speech as hoped shouldn’t impact on your life. So I suggest not worrying about it because I am sure your teacher and friends won’t be harsh about it and if they are then that is their problem.

i was the same as u, infact i am still am hehe, wel, it takes alot of guts, teh more u stand infront of people and do speaches, teh more u”ll get it…the best way i find to do this is to pretend ur infront of people an practise it and learn it, then u’ll have the senario already in ur head an ur more likely to remember it….hope this helps, an u shouldnt feel like tat, u can face them again…

hope this helps an good luck

You have social anxiety. I recommend a strong diet of meds to overcome this mental block. Consult your local psychiatrist.

Or… never speak in public again.
