If I graduate with a low GPA…..?

If you want to appear to be a better engineer than your GPA implies, do some great work – even if it is volunteer/unpaid – to build up your resume.
when in the interview, keep their mind off your academic problems by telling them about how you’ve applied your knowledge – and how you can help this company with what you’ve learned – and how you’ve successfully applied it in real life.
good luck
GPA is the biggest college misconception out there. My brother got offered some wonderful jobs coming out of college as an engineer with a gpa tinkering on to academic ineligibility. You will get a good job if you can show a prospective company that you are an educated member in your field and that you really do understand what your doing. Companies do know that gpa is not a flawless indicator of a students ability and that the smartest kids aren’t really the ones with the highest final gpa (those are the cut off kids who have no lives) Just stay in good standing at your school and take the time to truly learn your craft and you’ll be fine.
