I want to become an electrician?

I want to become an electrician…

I know that the average way to becoming one is by becoming an apprecntice for 4-5 years then taking the test and your done.

Is there anything that i am missing?

Any key in between things that not many people know about?

I also have a Bachlors of Technology in entertainment technology…how much does that help me being that i have a basic understanding about electricity and know how to read prints?

Thanks for the help

No. Do not.

Crawling around in fiber glass insulation pulling soapy wires and bending conduit is not the glorious job you think it is.

If you are mentally retarded or simply can not go to college.

A trade like electrician might make sense.

Become an electrical engineer at poly in Brooklyn or any similar school. Make more money do interesting work.

If you must, buy an old house and rewire it in your spare time.

Being an electrician sucks. You would not like it.
