I received a letter…??

In the mail today… Well, let me explain why this letter is so important… I always use a fake name online (of course), and one I used to use a lot was Anya Claustchewhitz …But, the letter I recieved today (yesterday?) was from the People to People Student Ambassador Program, adressed to Anya Claustchewhitz. I opened it, knowing that it was to my address and using one of my most common aliases, this is what the letter said (only different name and different date, I don’t have a scanner!) http://webpages.charter.net/letssenddevintoeurope/images/letter.jpg

Soooo, I thought this was a prank or a scam at first, and now that I’ve looked it up I feel awful because (even though I don’t have really any money), I would love to go. Isn’t there anything I can do to fix this? It seems like a once in a lifetime opportunity to travel to Europe and actually have fun… And I feel like I’ve ruined my chance to go, even though I might not have been able to anyhow. Is there any way I can fix this?

I think these days P2P is CLOSE to being a scam, but not quite.

However, what it DEFINITELY is is a waste of your money if you have any real interested in being an exchange student. It’s a tourist thing. You’d have fun, but not really accomplish a lot.

If you have a true interest in becoming an exchange student, talk to your high school counselor. The best time to go is your junior year. You will have the benefits of language and culture immersion and colleges and universities LOVE exchange students! Many offered preferred admissions and sometimes even scholarship money.

To learn more about being a REAL exchange student, check out http://www.exchangestudentworld.com/

That is a site written by former exchange students for exchange students!

Good luck!

I got a letter too. The letter that i got was for Chinia. Once you go they send you letters every year after that. My trip is around 15,000 dollars and i would love to go but i don’t think that I really have the money.

Good luck

the trip isn’t untill the summer so I’m sure that you have plenty of time to fix this if you really want to

My friend went to China and said it was a blast!

So I really want to go

yeah, definitely not a scam or anything, this girl at my school actually went on one of the trips- i wanted to go, but definitely did not have that much money. they should have a huge information meeting around your hometown, maybe you can attend it and see what you can do.. other than that, idk, sorry!
