Depends what you like. If you like regular fiction IMHO you can’t beat The Amazing Adventures of Cavalier and Clay or the Rabbit Run series by John Updike. (two Pulitzer winners in there) Oh, almost forgot, A Confederacy of Dunces by John Kennedy Toole is hilarious and brilliant if you’re into odd – but realistic characters.

Try any one that is written by Wilbur Smith. He writes from pyramid times, pirate days, to present times. He is still alive and his style of writing and the details he includes in his stories makes one think that Wilbur had lived in those eras.

Try one I’m sure you will be impressed. When choosing his titles, be careful, some of his stories are in sequence. Try and get them in order. Then again not all are in sequence.

Conversations with God by Neale Walsch.

Reread them if you’ve read them before.

They are delicious.
