Well I have family in PR & I can tell you from a personal point of view that PR has good education compared to most of the caribbean. It is good b/c PR is a commonwealth of the US, however its not as great as the US’s education but it is still good & over 90% are literate. The only thing that is bad about public highschools is that the students can come & go as they please. They cut class & sit on school grounds & the school doesnt do anything about it. I live in the Philadelphia area & that is not like that here. Also PR had to close public schools in 2005(i believe) b/c they ran out of money so the school board implemented sales tax to fix the school’s need for funding. I am surprised to learn this forum is opened to students. This could be very good, especially for those seeking professional guidance. Given that a potential employee might read the posted messages, I recommend that people seeking guidance pay closer attention to their writing style.
