how to get in internship for a music industry?
Favorite Answer
2. Call each company. Ask for the name of the director of the internship program. If they say that there is no director, you can ask for the name of the Human Resources Director or for the name of the Director of the division you are most interested in.
3. Write a unique letter for each company. Tell why you want to work for that company specifically. Tell them you’re not afraid to work hard and to do “scut work” just to get your foot in the door. Stress the benefit to THEM to having you work for free, not the benefits you hope to get. Also, make the distinction between the benefits you offer and the features you have — they care about benefits.
4. Include a resume that has your education, work history, and skills.
5. Included a “References” page that lists 3-5 people who will say good things about you.
6. One week after the letters and resumes are mailed, follow up with a phone call.
If you follow this plan, I guarantee you will get an internship with a company on your list.
