Whity_rocker is right read and study especially in areas you may find more challenging. Such is my case with math (love it but really do not do well in it). If math is difficult for you the practice problems that you find challenging. There are a number of free on-line sites that provide tutorials and practice exercises. If English is a weak point, read as well as practice your grammar and writing skills (ie journal, write letters to friends or family then have someone critique them for you). There are several on-line sites that provide very good on-line grammar and punctuation information. As for History and Science, reading is one way another is to explore both subjects through film (if you are going to use films a fun thing to do is watch the film then research to see how accurate the film really was), documentaries, Discovery, History Channel and PBS are great sources of information on both History and Science and they also have a great website where you can download images, watch episodes already aired and even download pod-cast.

There is a wealth of resources on line about any subject you are needing information for or go to your public library where they often have summer programs.

It is the summer so keep it fun. Keeping up with the skills you learned during the school year and maybe learn a few more skills will make the next school year a lot more enjoyable and your teachers really appreciate it.

Have a great summer!

Read anything! Start with the paper… short articles will keep your attention. Read about current events, you’ll be culturally and internationally aware (probably more than your teachers). Avoid trash (MTV, E!, etc.)

You don’t have to be a nerd, just make an effort to understand something new everyday.
