I would have loved a club like that when I was in high school (just a few years ago btw). I think its such a fantastic idea, and it sounds like a lot of fun. But make sure that you get some sort of provided transport because not everyone can drive and some people’s parents may not be comfortable letting them drive with student drivers. It would be easier to start up if you had a sponsor – either a teacher or some other adult in the local community.

To get people interested, you could say that volunteer hours look great on college and scholarship applications. Every little thing helps on a college app.

I am a junior in highschool and I would definatley come to a club like that! Sounds awesome! You just need to ask around and get the word out, maybe ask your teachers if they will hang out ballots, so they could vote yes or no. You can make the ballots yourself, just providing them with information about the new club you are trying to start. Then at the bottom of the ballot you can write would you join this club if you had the oppurtunity and for them to circle yes or no. Good luck! 🙂 🙂 🙂

No. Not many teens would actually want to take care of animals. I mean, you see lots of kids who complain about animal cruelty but they don’t want to do anything about it.
