If the premise is about LEARNING process, the shortest way is through education. Lessons learned from experiences can take time even years before one realizes from his/her mistakes. These lessons learned can be easily realized in a structured learning process like in an education either formal (school or university) or informal (trainings and seminars) setting.

If a guy with no formal/informal education is good in fixing cars, then how did he acquire such skills and abilities? The guy could have started-off as a helper mechanic. During the course of his job, he manages to observe what the other mechanic were doing. For some time, months, even years of observations he acquired these basic skills. The thing is most of these mechanics who learned from their experiences with the absence of education either formal or informal could not explain the principles behind of what and why they are doing such. Instead of using “feeler gauge”, they count on what they do most of the time, “feeling gauge”. What they only know is how to do it, because they are basing their experiences on the manner and process on how fixing cars should be performed. Little did they know the principle behind such processes.

A guy who has an A+ in academic may not have the abilities to fix car, perhaps he chooses not to, because he does not want to involve himself on dirty jobs—he definitely does not have the interest for such job. But the guy who is good in fixing cars, cannot discuss academic subjects as good as the guy with an A+ in academics.

Education and experience are relative to the ability of fixing cars, but not relative to two different person with different backgrounds and inclinations.

that is a tricky question but consider this…… these days you have to have a qualification to get the job BUT for most you need to have alot of experience to get that job. now, in a case where u have the education u might not get it coz you dont have experience and vice versa you might have the experience but cant get it coz dont have the education….. to me a person should try get both at the same time….. while studying apply for a part time job or attachment somewhere n that way you get both!!! or in a case where you are working for someone like fixing cars n things (for example) you have all the experience, you can always go and study to gain the education….. depends on what you chose to do

hey there, both education and experience are important,BUT if u cant get educated due to financial problems its better you get experience at yo best. One thing people ignore when there educated is the need 4 experience outside there proffesions like a doctor as u said will need to learn a few things about cars jst in case of an emrgengy like replacing tyres, clening so will he have to learn little about plumbing, compound cleaning.Nway education and a little bit of other skills will keep u kiking.

Well, I think the complete package, experience and education, is what is the best. It’s like one cant do without the other. Why not agree to both?

Well, look at it this way.

When in bed, would you rather a person have experience or read a ton of books on it and be well knowledgeable with no experience?

Gosh, dude, get your mind in the gutter with the rest of us.

experience because when you job in any office, employer needs experience not education.
