Good historical fiction books?

Hi, I have to select a book from the historical fiction genre for a report.

Does anyone have any good recommendations for me? If so, could you tell me a little bit of what it’s about.

I’m in the eighth grade, so nothing too complex please.

🙂

I would highly recommend

Lincoln

by Gore Vidal

By the time you finish it, You will truly understand why Lincoln was one of the greatest presidents as well as have a good understanding and background of the civil war

Which, if Lincoln had not prosecuted so well, we would be a divided country.

Vidal is an excellent author who is able to take historical fact and wind it through fictional tales.

I also would recommend any book written by James Michner.

Best of luck on your report.
