I presume that you recently graduated from high school and that 2.5 is your high school gpa. Let me just say that university is much more tougher than high school is, and if in high school you have 2.5 then in university you’ll find yourself struggling very badly only to survive. I am myself a math major in a state university and i’m a senior with almost 12 credits left for graduation, but my cumulative gpa is barely above 2.0. However in high school i was always at least a 3.0 gpa student. Ofcourse, i’m taking a very tough major like math so obviously its very hard in university. I went to a community college, i got A grades in 16 credits of math including calculus and so i was accepted into the math program of the university. A lot depends on what you decide to major — whether its something tough like math, computer science or engineering (then you definitely need at least 3.0 gpa in high school) or if you’re doing something simpler. Any university is fine, as long as its accredited and its heard of to many people. Only very good students decide which university to apply for. The mediocres, or ones like me who’re barely above 2.0 have no preference and will apply any university within the area. In my case, there was only 1 university in my county and i applied there without thinking, but its accredited and is the state’s largest university with over 28,000 students. So that worked for me. You should consider yourself lucky if you get accepted by a university and make sure you study very hard. Otherwise if you’re not accepted in a university, you may have to go to community college first and then later transfer to a university — thats what i did. But clearly university studies are no joke and they need to be taken very seriously and responsibly compared to high school. Good luck.

Yeah i agree with the guy above me. You can try and apply to these colleges, but don’t get your hopes up. 2.5 gpa is kind of low but i’ve seen stranger things happen…if worse comes to worst, go to a community college for 2-4 semesters and get all A’s in your classes and i mean all A’s. You also have to take into account your exracurricular activities. The more you have, the better chance you have of getting in.

None of the above.

With a 2.5 GPA you will have difficulty and be on accademic probation at any of the schools you listed. You are clearly a borderline student and it is arguable that you do not belong in college at all.

If you beleive you are college material, demonstrate that at you local community college with 12 credit hours of A’s

Then apply for late admission with your new enhanced GPA
