If you’re not ready to commit to your studies, definitely take a gap year. If you’re living with your parents and don’t need to make a lot of money, you may consider volunteering in various positions related to what you might study. This will help you decide if the job is right for you and teach you a lot about working. It will also look good on your resume when you apply to college and later seek permanent employment. You can take short positions (3-6 months) and try a few things out.

At the end, take a few weeks for a vacation somewhere to rest before beginning your studies.

If you can afford to do it, a gap year is a great way to grow. Just don’t spend it lazing around. Travel, take a road trip, volunteer. Just make sure you don’t lose focus.

wouldn’t recomend it, cuz a lot of ppl who do that either end up not going to college at all, or when they get there, their outlook on it isn’t the same. They might end up not trying as hard for at least their first year because their so used to being lazy or at home that they’d rather not be in a class working

I say go while you’re still in school mode. The sooner the better.

The longer you wait, the harder it is to get motivated to go.

Why not go to college? Why waste a year? The sooner you finish the better, then take a year off.

Don’t do it. What happens is you get lazy and used to not going to school. Take your summer break and then get right back.
