Does anyone know if it is difficult to get into the french culinary institute?

I am really interested in their pastry arts, and am willing to relocate to NYC from chicago… Im not sure how difficult it is…

it’s not hard if you have the money. here in las vegas, it is $21,000.00+ for tuition in a 9 month pastry course. $41,000.00 for the full 15 months. just have to be able to pay the tuition. this is for the Le Cordon Bleu.

It’s insane. There are about 15,000 yearly applicants for about 50 openings. When you show up for your interview, they put you on the spot and make you “whip up” a dessert right then and there. It’s ridiculous. There are also weird prerequisites like 3 years of Spanish, 1 year of physics, and 2 years experience in fine dining/front of the house. Crazy.
