Do you still have to stop for the buses red lights if you are on the highway?
I’m not talking about a freeway, just a regular highway, because I got a ticket today for not stopping when the lights were still yellow.

You shouldn’t have to stop if the lights were only yellow. That’s exactly the same as driving through a yellow signal at an intersection. It’s still okay to go…the yellow is just a warning that it will soon be red. In fact, the little stop sign doesn’t swing out until the red lights come on.
You don’t have to stop for a bus with red lights if the highway is DIVIDED (same with ambulances and firetrucks etc). However, buses usually don’t stop on divided highways. If in doubt, stop.
