Do you always have to use stamps when sending mail?
I feel very stupid for asking this question, but curiosity eats me >_> I was wondering, if you wanted to send a letter out to someone, you’d put YOUR address on the upper left hand corner, and the person you’re sending the letter to’s address in the center of the envelope. That is correct right?! lol. So then do you have to put a stamp on the right hand corner in order for the mailman to be able to send it out? Btw, I’m planning on putting the letter in the mailbox for the mailman to collect since I can’t get to the post office. Gah, I hope you guys can help me. I feel totally clueless right now.

Yes, you have to put a stamp on the mail otherwise the person at the other end will have to pay for it & go to the post office to collect. However, they could refuse to pay in which case they’ll never get it. If you don’t have any stamps you might be able to print your own post label by visiting the Royal Mail website (if you’re in UK). The website is good too as it’ll tell you how much sending the mail will cost based on it’s weight. You’ll just need to weigh it on kitchen scales. And gives you prices to send to different countries too.

A) you are supposed to put your address on the back flap of the envelope these days
B) if you don’t have a stamp you can actually tape coins to the top right side of the front of the envelope, the postman has to accept it, as long as you taped the required amount of money needed for whatever it is you are mailing. You can put more, if you like, but at least enough. I believe the current stamp rate is 43 cents for a normal letter.

in case you paid for it on the submit workplace, they could have placed the appropriate postage on it. They print the postage on the envelope, they do no longer use stamps. You do could placed stamps on any letter you deliver, different than in case you carry it to the submit workplace. If there is not any longer a stamp on your letter, it incredibly is going to likely be back to you. yet, like I pronounced, in case you extra the letter to the submit workplace and paid for postage, they could have dealt with it.

yeah…in order for you to send it you must put stamps……i don’t know why but i can’t send mail if you don’t put stamps…..but you can mail it without stamps by internet mail or email….hehehehe
