Can I still get into a good college with a 2.5 average gpa for my freshman year?

I had a semi-bad year last year for my first year of highschool.

At the end of the year my grade point average rounded up to a 2.5. So far everyones been telling I’m behind everyone else now and that it’ll be hard to get into the college that I want.

So I’m wondering If I can still get into the college that I want that accepts 3.0 and higher? Can my Sophomore, Junior, and Senior year save me if I get 3.0 or higher for the rest of my school years, or did my bad freshman year just crush my dreams of going to the college I’ve been wanting to go to?

Step it up these next three years of high school….and it will pay off in the end.

I wish you would have done better your freshman year because it’s one of your most important years in school.

Good luck with everything.

Dont worry. i’m a freshman too. i had a pretty bad time getting used to freshman life. Just step up you game and take some extra AP courses and you will be fine. take about 3-4 AP courses and your average GPA will be about 3.5

Work really hard in your other three years and I think you can do okay.
