From personal experience, both Bio and Algebra II have a heavy work load. It would probably be safer for you to take them one at a time. But if you decide you can do it, more power to ya. GOOD LUCK!!!!

I would give it a shot for a while. It’s always easier to drop back if you need to. And, you may not even be able to (you wouldn’t want to take Geom again – you’ll be bored!, and I don’t know if you have a choice but to take Bio as a Freshman).
I did Honors Algebra 2 & Honors Biology in the same year and I did fine. I always did really well in math and it came very easy to me. Biology didn’t come easy to me (lots of memorization, never was good at that), but I still did well in both. I think it’s all in how hard you are willing to work. And, I wouldn’t guage how well you are going to do in Alg 2 by how well you did in Geom – totally different. Did you do well in Alg 1? Then you’ll probably be ok here too.

I took Algebra II, Honors English, Honors World History, and Biology freshmen year (as well as Spanish I, Speech, Band, Computer Apps, and Gym) and found it super easy! I struggled a bit with Algebra II (I got an A first semester but B the second), but math isn’t my strength and I put no effort into it. With effort, I could have gotten an A. That is definitely a manageable schedule, you should be just fine!

last year (my freshman year) i took algebra 2 honors and bio honors and i was fine. most of my algebra class was sophmore and my entire bio class was freshman. the only problem you should have is after school activities conflicting with the amount of homework you get. i had an a in bio and a b in algebra for the first three quarters and when i started baseball my grade slipped about a point in each class i went from a 96 to a 95 in bio and and 87 to and 86 in algebra. bio and algebra 2 in freshman year really shouldnt be that big a deal

You can handle a biology class and a Algebra in the same semester. Now if you had a marketing class and algebra or a human anatomy and biology it would be hard and confusing. Algebra is mostly formulas and biology is basically the study of forms of life starting from the cell and ending with human species. They are nothing alike so it will be a breeze. Quit worrying !!!!!!!!!!

To really get credits and graduate you have to take biology for a whole year and algebra 2 for a whole year math courses if your at a normal school are year in length the same thing goes for scinece classes.

If you are worried about it, I would seriously consider taking them different semesters. It would cause a lot less stress for you in your first year of college. On the other hand, I would consider taking them both at the same time if they were both pre-requisites for a lot of classes that you need to take. If that is not the case, I would opt for a less stressful schedule your first semester.

Do you think that you can really handle it?
I would suggest tkaing one of them at a different semester since it would help you to lighten the work load.

i think you should take it. you seem determined and able enough to handle it. if however you can’t handle it then push yourself. i know its not always good to push yourself, but sometimes it is. it teaches you to not limit yourself just because you have a few more challenging courses.

If you did just ok in math, I would NOT be pushing my luck.
