I have flashcards and I have a book that tells me like word root meanings and whatnot.

I am HORRIBLE at memorizing anything.

I am AMAZING at understanding just about anything.

I have a B.S. in Mathematics and a minor in Physics, I’m telling you this to show you that I am very good at understanding things conceptually and applying them but I am horrible at memorizing things.

I need a method to study/memorize the vocabulary (either the words and their definitions or the root words and their meanings) so that I can get a good score on the GRE vocabulary.

I’m getting nowhere just trying to memorize the definitions from the flashcards. I was born in the US and my native language is English but I was just never exposed to this type of vocabulary before.

Please please help me with this, your idea’s are greatly appreciated.
