a good excuse for not sitting in the back of class?

My teacher switched me with a guy that talks a lot, and he wont let me move back. I told him i can’t see from the back and i can’t afford to get new glasses that i already broke. He wants a better excuse on a note. Whats a good excuse that he would for sure move me back?

Sadly, you’re probably a good student.

Being in the front almost forces you to stay alert and keep your attention on the teacher, so he made the right switch.

What I would do would ask your teacher in private and explain how important your grades are. When you sit in back, you cannot see properly and cannot afford new glasses. You want to keep your grades up, and you would like to move up closer to the boards if possible. It doesn’t have to be THAT desk, but just A desk that would allow you a better visual assistance would be great.

Also point out that you are a visual learner.

If NONE OF THIS works, talk to your principal. Most schools require that each student is given an equal oppurtunity to succeed, and if you cannot see then something needs to be done.

I don’t know what a better excuse is than not being able to see from the back! I would say either talk to the principal, or if he just wants some sort of note as proof, then ask your parent to write a note–he might just want confirmation from an adult.

Just have your parent write the note saying that you really can’t see that far and can’t get glasses and it’s interfering with your learning experience.

i’m assuming you must be in high school. a good excuse? a good talk with your principal. your teacher shouldn’t be hindering you from getting a good education.
