2 Sports at the same time?

Ok so at my school they offer a tennis team and a swim team…(and many others) But the thing is tennis and swim are both in the same season. And I really want to do both sports. Tennis i am getting better at and i love playing it now. And I’ve loved swimming ever since i was little. So Do u think I would be able to play 2 sports, swimming and tennis? Or I could like swim after tennis (jv season ends early). Or go to alternate practices? Do u think my coaches would be mad if i did that? And do u think it would mess up my school work? Im a very good student. Any ideas, advice or anything! Plz help!

Hmmm I think that it’d be too much on your plate to do twosports at the same time. Pick one, the one you really love the most, and stick with it throughout your whole high school career(I’m guessing you’re in high school right)? If you do this, and you’re good at it, you might be able to become captain, and that’ll look a lot better to colleges than you just being a player(noncaptain) on two teams at the same time. So, pick one sport, work hard on the team, become a captain, at the same time keep those grades up and have fun!! You need to have free time!!

If you pick two, you won’t have free time. Last year I played one sport, I was also on clubs, and I’m taking rigorous classes, and that was hard for me! I started to do worse academically, even though I’ve always been a good student. Don’t put too much on your plate- grades count the most. If you pick one sport you’ll also have the time to do community service or another club. This will look great for colleges. They want to see school involvement not just sport involvement.

Good luck!
