WOW, chromatography!!??? serious help is needed?

im doin this chemistry assnmnt and i really need ur help, i dont know:

how do u interpret a gas liquid chromatogram?

how do u know wht peak stands for what componentt?

OK, a gas-liquid chromatogram is very similar to the paper ones you may have done at school. What happens in the machine is the sample is passed through a tube in a solvent (it’s been a few years since I did one, so can’t remember precise details), and when a compound exits at the end, it is recorded on a graph. Each compound has a specific rf value for each solvent (basically the time it takes to pass through the tube compared to the time it takes the solvent to pass), to which there are lists available.
