Well firstly most of Africa’s population have dark skin, but everyone in Africa is certainly NOT dark!Although originally all Africans were dark. Africa also has a dark history, most of it was ruled by European colonies who opressed the African people, stripped them of any rights and even sold them as slaves. South Africa in particular has a very dark history with what happened here right up until the 90’s. Most of Africa is also very poor and most of the people here are suffering or dying of some disease. All this dark history with all the original inhabitants being dark equals the Dark Continent.

they say because africa was the birthplace of life. there were these black frogs, which started turning into humans, then as humans moved away from the equator thier skin became lighter and lighter. which led to indians, italians, caucasians, white people, native americans etc. But thats what scientist say that we all came from black people, or these black frogs. so i guess thats why they call it the dark continent.
