Why did the mexicans lose alta california?
i am taking history of california and we need to know why the mexicans lost alta california and i am kinda lost and don’t know why. any information would be great!

some will tell you that mexico sold it, others that the US robed it, and others even that people from the Alta California wanted to be independent and later to be part of the US…you know, the truth is always more complex than any and all those explanations, and ofcourse it depends a lot on what side of the border was the history book written on….
