Why are high tech stuff only produced in a few countries?

Building high tech gadgets is labor intensive, and requires the use of a lot of expensive equipment and facilities. Asian countries have a definite cost advantage in all aspects of high tech manufacturing, at least for now. They have relatively low paid workers with the skills needed to do the jobs, the facilities to manufacture the devices, and the reliable power sources those facilities require.

A lot of it has to do with wherever the labor is cheapest. These tend to be is less developed countries.
