Who is an easy britsh author to write a term paper about?

I need to pick a britsh author to write a term paper about by tomorrow and i need some help. When i say easy i mean someone who is understanable to the teens of today in his writing with clear written english. Authors must be somewhere from Great Britan and famous.

What about Mary Shelley? Who wrote frankenstein.

I have to write an essay about her at school too(im from UK), and she is VERY famous!

Or J.K Rowling? Harry Potter is extremely popular!!
