Neanderthals were not as unintelligent as many people think they were. Though scientists have discovered that they could talk they weren’t so sure how clear they could speak. Though there is no proof of language, the Neanderthals had many variations of communication. Such as cave drawings. They would use these to explain certain ideas to each other. They would also use hand signals at times, like when they needed something from another person or wanted to show a someone else something. Neanderthals had also made technological advancements in their time being. They had started hunting with spears made of sticks with a sharpened rock on the end. They also made knives and even handheld axes, which us modern humans still use today. To pass time they invented a musical instrument, one of many which we now call the flute. They also made necklaces and other kinds of jewelry.
