The 3 major Axis Powers were: Italy, Japan and Germany

The “Big 3” Allied Powers: Soviet Union, U.S., and United Kingdom

FDR also considered China an allied power, and France before it was invaded (by Germany I believe) and after their liberation, was also considered an allied power.

In 1939 the allied powers were france and Britain, the axis powers were Germany and Italy and the neutral powers were the USA and most other countries. In June 1941 the Soviet Union joined the allied powers. In December 1941 the USA joined the allied powers and Japan joined the Axis. In September 1943 Italy left the axis powers.

The Axis powers in WW II were Germany, Italy, and Japan—against the whole world basically. America came in later, after Japan bombed Pearl Harbor. We begain fighting on two fronts, The pacific ocean and in North Africa, which had become occupied by the German troops, with tanks in the desert under Rommel. The Americans and the British under Field Marshal Montgomery defeated Rommel, who later attempted to assassinate Hitler, and was forced to commit suicide. Then America invaded Italy, through Sicily, and a second landing at the north of Italy. Then the D-day invasion in France, and the push to Berlin, from both sides with the Russians (being permitted to) arriving first at Hitler’s bunker.

Axis was Germany, Italy, Japan.

Allies were UK, France, China, and USA were the major Countries, there were many others that fought and contributed to the war effort.

The Soviet Union was originally on the Axis side helping Germany invade Poland but later switched sides when German invaded them.

Allied Powers: U.S.A., United Kingdom of Great Britain, The Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, were the Big Three, though there were many others.

Axis Powers: Nazi Germany, Japan, Italy, main three, though, again, like the Allies, there were many others.

I can’t really give you a complete list because pretty much every nation on Earth was involved (hence the name, “World War”).
