i’m doing presentation for my class an d my lecturer ask me to find a songs and video about social values…i’m quite blur on what kinds og songs have social values..

Many songs from the 60’s did. Consider Universal Soldier and Blowing in the Wind. Find the lyrics of songs you listen to and think about the words. Many songs have a social message.

American Pie … the first rock stars actually , that were killed in a plan crash . and all the world knew about it by television and radio… in the 50’s everything was so innocent and fresh and clean then the tragedy happened and nothing was said about it until Don Mc Clean wrote the song . Depending on what kind of social values you are looking for, you could check out Savatage’s Dead Winter Dead album. It is a story about the war between Bosnia and Serbia with a poem in the liner notes that connects the songs together. There is one video from it (One Child – you can find it on Youtube). There is huge difference between something “having social value” and being “about social values”. I’m not clear which you want, and I dont think you are either.
