What’s the limit of the following and how did you get it?

[(1/X)-(1/2)] / (X-2)

I need the *limit as it approaches 2*

Subtract fractions in the numerator:

[(1/X)-(1/2)] / (X-2)

= [2-x/2x] / (X-2)

= -(X – 2)/[2X(X – 2)]

Now (x – 2) cancels out and what is left is

-1/2x

As x–>2 (-1/2x)–>-1/4

Answer: -1/4
