Try demonstrating something simple , the more complicated the more harder it gets .

I dont know what grade you are in but here are my suggestions…..How to do Calligraphy. How perform a magic trick. How to tie a surgeons knot (with a large chart diagram) How to draw a cartoon face. How to set a formal table or a make a simple dried flower arragement, how to faux paint marble with a feather and a sponge. How to make a potato into a stamping tool of your Initials. Draw your initals on the raw potato and cut away the part not in the initials for 1/2inch….have another one already carved in case you flub the one you are carveing in front of the audiance.) How to paint faces and or spike hair. How to cover up scratches on a wooden object using the right shade of “Old English” Scratch Remover from the hardware store. (Just remember a little goes a long way.)

The correct way to whittle. How to play a harmonica or a jews harp. How to make tap water less likely to grab in your throat..(a tiny pinch or both salt and sugar will make it go down smoother…have three audiance members try it.)

You might be making this harder than it needs to be 🙂

Think of something simple. 10 minutes goes really fast.

You can do something like how to diaper a baby (completely with baby doll, diaper and wipes. Something easy like ‘How to tie your shoes’.

OR.. for extra credit points w/the teacher..

Look up things online like “How to say No to peer pressure’. or “How to de-escalate a heated confrontation and avoid a fight.”

You could do something hilarious like “How to guarantee you’ll get an A on this how to demonstration” Then go through the steps “First, pick a topic that’s interesting to you and will fit within the 10 minute time constraint.” Continue on – be sure to make a billboard of the requirments.

I think even your teacher would get a kick out of that. A How-To about her How-To assignment 🙂
