All countries and divisions within them; all major waterways and bodies of water; longitude and latitude; political or physical features [they have to do with countries mentioned]; and you’ll take note that a globe is on an axis, which is at a 23.5 degrees tilt, just as earth is to the sun…Some globes are relief globes that show mountains and valleys, etc., as in 3-D.

Globes are considered especially useful for what are called “great-circle” routes: long sea and air trips as well as those trips planned for satellites, because the globes are round. For that reason they’re also used to track seismic activity and possible tsunamis.
