slope is 1 and y-intercept is -3.

how?

1/2= 1/2 – 3/2

multiply both sides by 2 to eliminate their denominators and make them whole numbers.

so it will be:

1y= 1x-3

or we will just remove 1 on 1y and 1x because they were just the same so:

y= x – 3 is the answer.

the term with the “x” fixed on a number is the slope and the number next to the slope is the y-intercept or “b” of the equation.

the formula y=mx+b (what that equation is already in) the slope is “m” and b is the y intercept. so in this case, the slope or m=1/2 and the y intercept or b=3/2

slope:1/1

y-intercept:-3

1/2y=1/2x-3/2

/ 1/2 / 1/2

y = x – 3

or:

y =1/1x-3

so 1/1 is your slope

and -3 is your y intercept
