Well, I’d mirror a brochure for some vacation site, and I’d say something like, “Barkerville….there’s a reason why Everybody’s coming!!!” Inside, I’d probably say something about “Forget San Francisco, Paris, or Rome!” and then tell why Barkerville is “THE” place to see, by making a descriptive list of “historical” stuff like the Hurdy Gurdy Girls Review, the Gold Rush, the formation of a road just to get to Barkerville (which would’ve been a big deal in those days) and end with some funny line like, “And don’t worry about old Judge Begbie; he’ll only hang you if he catches you!”

If you fold a piece of paper in three equal folds, that’s the basic form of a brochure. Usualy you feature some catchy pictures with your text. Info should be on all six sides, with the back featuring address and important info, and the front your cover, obviously, with the good stuff on the three inner surfaces.

I believe (can’t check it here) that MS Word has a brochure template which you can invoke from a blank page. Click on File New Templates and see what is there. It will cost more to have it done at the printer, but you get many more options.

You will still need the content though. Research Barkersville, BC on the internet. What would make you go there? Can you find photos to use of that? Do you need copyright permission, or can you take some photos yourself? Ask again after you have an idea you want to make into a title.
