Side issue: You MUST be careful with your notation. What you have written there is h(x) but the expression is not a function of x. Strictly speaking, you have a constant expression there, and a constant function has no inverse function. I’m going to assume you meant
h(x) = 6/(x – 4)
Set it up as
y = 6/(x – 4)
and solve for x:
x – 4 = 6/y
x = (6/y) + 4 = (4y + 6)/y
So the inverse
h(-1)(x) = (4x + 6)/x
