What is the density of an unknown metal that has a mass of 158 g and a volume of 20 ml?

Help me please.

Im so confussed about my physical science homework.

density = mass/volume = 7.9

I think so anyway, might want to Google density formula to be sure

Density is very simple… it is simply the mass (similar to weight) of an object divided by its volume…so in this case it would be 158 g/20 ml = 7.9 g/ml

The density should be in units of kg/cubic meter. 20ml is 20×10^-6 m^3. So density is 0.158×10^6/20 kgm^-3.

Milliliters is the same thing as cubic centimeters so just divide 158 by 20.

or 7.9 grams per cubic centimeter

the unknown metal is Iron..btw.

the answer is mass/volume

so 158/20=7.9gm/ml

in si unit it is 7.9 kg/l.
