what is meant by values in life ?

Just decide what things in your family do you hold near and dear.
For example; when I was growing up we were always taught to do a job right or not at all.
If you did a job and it wasn’t right someone will make you do it until it is right.
As a child I hated this, as an adult I LOVE it. Because it taught me anything worth doing is worth doing right. That family value taught me many other things of value. Hard work “Pays Off”
I value that particular life lesson, and I have passed it down to my children and grandchildren.
Values change with the circumstances. For example, you might value honesty if you’re trying to find something that you’ve lost but you might not value honesty if you’ve stolen something. You value honesty from a car dealer if you’re looking to buy a good car but maybe you don’t value honesty as much if you’re the car dealer and are looking to sell the car.
Virtues on the other hand are not dependent upon the circumstances. Honesty is always right even if you are hurt by being honest.
