Structure: I would start with a basic story framework, then start moving things around once you have it down on paper.

Introduce the character in their normal setting.

Foreshadow what’s going to change that.

Introduce the new element.

Events/trials

Climax

Aftermath- either back to normal setting or with changes

Plot idea: Quite honestly, that quote would work for a lot of things. Someone is separated from someone else, someone is trying to find their way to_____, someone is trying to enact social change…

Any of that spark an interest?

Why don’t you start with an anecdote? Since you already think that that quote is true, is there a personal story as to why you know it’s true? Teachers love essays that relate to you. This type of essay separates you from the rest of the class because the teacher will remember it and give you a better grade! =]

Maybe it could be like a love story.. you can start by like saying Her name was Sarah.. or whatever name you like and tell a lil about her life… like what she does.. school.. work.. how old she is.. then one day she like say loses her wallet… then you can start a different part.. about a boy.. named lets say jacob.. You can actually start the 2nd like part. liek part two.. Saying His name was jacob.. he was a boy that went to school with sarah.. but they didnt know eachother… and blah blah blah does he work.. One day on his way home.. he found a walet. Looked inside.. finds her name and address .. he walked it to her house.. Her door bell rings… She looks out the window… sees Jacob.. the boy she has always had a crush on…. so yeah she goes outside.. they talk ont eh porch for a while.. shes happy.. she tells him she has noticed him around.. blah blah blah.. they fall for eachother… then at the end she can say So.. whats meant to be will always find a way huh? and he will say Heh.. Yeah thats true.. but sometimes.. it needs help getting there.. And he kinda holds up the wallet and hands it there while saying that.
