what is a great senior project plan/idea?
Then I have to write a persuasive paper about it (ex: music therapy helps people here’s why)
And then I have to have an event (ex: set up some place some music for people to listen to and get different thoughts on it, or just a musical experience create)
Plus I have to create a poster about it so it’s a theme which must be greatly summarized (nothing too complicated SOUNDING)
But I dont want to revolve my senior project around music. It has to revolve around something IM interested in, so what I am interested in is expression in society, taking off the mask, realness, using writing as forms of self expression (I want to be an English teacher) and so on.

Persuasive Paper: Journaling has been shown to help inner city and troubled youth become successful. Use the book and movie “Freedom Writers” for more information. BTW, the teacher in Freedom Writers has started a foundation, so there’s lots of info out there. I’ve met her and she’s very approachable — you may even be able to get a phone interview with her.
Poster — Theme “Write Your World” or “Write Your Way to Success.”
Event — Journaling Challenge Kick Off. Invite people to a teach in. Show the movie Freedom Writers. Teach them the basics of Journaling. Inspire them as to the purpose of Journaling. Then challenge them to keep a daily journal for six weeks. At the end of the six weeks, have a brunch/discussion about what they’ve learned about themselves through Journaling.
Do I get partial credit for this project? 🙂
