ok so because its a seventh grade science project it will have to show at least some thought // scientific process…

Why not test what happens to certain plants when an essential variable is changed [ this may sound hard but is incredibly easy and shows you actually planned and thought about what you were doing]

If your not understanding thus far basically youll need some SMALL plats like SPROUTS or litlle beans that you can easily buy for like 5 dollars and keep inside and will grow quickly. You will need about ten or so [NOTE IN A SEED PACK THERE WILL BE AMPLE AMOUNT OF SEEDS]

Pot the little seeds in about 3 diff littel continers and after theyve grown too a fair enough height you can begin to do such things as:

* Change the variable of LIGHT, PH level of the soil, WATER GIVEN, you culd even go as far as to type of soil etc

BASICALLY when testing what happens when u change the level of sunlight etc you will need a CONTROL which is a set of plants which u do nothing too and the variable plants which you add extra/less light, soil, water.

THEN what you do is compare what happens to the plants you added/took away essentail things from the plants you didnt touch and then you can make conclusions about how much sunlight a plant needs, at wat stage does over exposure to light take its toll on the plant etcetc

When you write your report you should relate this ‘study’ back to say that these kind of studies may help farmers etc assess the best ways to produce crops etcetcetc

hope this helped!!

As a 21 year old Physics graduate, I can give you this advice:

1. Do your own work.

2. Don’t waste time asking others for something when the answer is right in front of you (i.e. the Internet)

3. Hard work is everything.

4. Always use correct spelling when typing (*Points to your question*).

5. Why don’t you just tie some string in your stereo, turn on some music and measure the frequency of the vibrations with each song?

(Best songs to use are low frequency songs. Since you probably do not know of any I will tell you. Sunn O))) would be the only way to go).

I think a good 7th grade science grade project would be to find the square area of several kinds of fruits and vegetables. If you are interested, e-mail me at [email protected] and I can help you with the details on how I did it. =)

You should try watching the tv show Beakman’s World. Every week they do some great projects that are fairly easy and inexpensive. Look him up online.

My daughter won 2nd place in her science fair for her Radon tests. You can get free Radon kits and results. She tested various homes in various zip codes in your school district for their results. You would ask them to volunteer of course. You would tell them it is free, and they would get Radon results. Then afterwards she graphed the levels out per zip code.

Print out pictures and anything you can find about Radon on line.

She deserved an 1st place for it. The Science teachers nephew got the 1st place.

buy different packages and brands of gum ( like 7 or so). With a stop watch, time how long it takes for the gum to lose the flavor. relate this to how much sugar is in each piece. See the connection?
