physics – the branch of science concerned with the nature and properties of matter and energy. The subject matter of physics includes mechanics, heat, light and other radiation, sound electricity, magnetism, and the sturcture of atoms.
That’s the official meaning. You would learn how to calculate things like the expansion of metals at certain temperatures and how a bridge builder for example would use this info to accomadate the varying temps. where a bridge is being built.
You’d learn how to figure out what time a plane would arrive at it’s destination considering whether is had a tail wind or was flying into the wind etc. with a wind speed of ?, if the plane flew at ? mph … Just an few examples.
Physics has all sorts of applications that we use in everyday life. It’s interesting.
