An Egyptian pyramid, such as that at Giza.
An Anastasi Indian structure in SW US.
These structures have orientation with the sun and equinoxes. It’s speculation as to why they were “needed.”
They may have been a part of sun worship or the maintenance of a priesthood. They probably were used to time agriculture plantings, seasonal precipitation, harvestings.
