American Lit. Project help?

okay, so. I have an American Literature project that’s due tomorrow. I know, procrastinating is a bad. The project is to basically translate a book/novel into a drawing. Thing is, I can’t think of a book that i can turn into a picture. any ideas?

ohhhhhhhhh man…. do “The Outsiders”

(very short but GREAT book)

here is the link to find out more about it…..

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Outsiders_(novel)

Draw a picture… dark on one side … light on the other… with railroad tracks going down the middle….

North side light ……………. South side dark

On the north side put pictures of classic cars and girls in bobby socks and fancy mansions and money (Socials)…………..

On the South side put pictures of broken down row houses, a dingy city bus, and guys with slicked back greasy hair in white T-shirts with the rolled up sleeves…. ( a picture of James Dean would be great )

If you have to draw it free hand………

Do a railroad track going from one side of the paper to the other… then draw faint pencil or pen lines to make the South side darker than the North. Then draw aspects of the above description as best you can.
